The Circle - A New Era for Boston College Softball
Last year, I had the privilege of working alongside Coach Amy Kvilhaug on the Boston College Softball coaching staff. As Director of Team and Program Development, my role was incredibly diverse. From supporting our student-athletes in their personal and professional development, to connecting with recruits' families about the incredible opportunities a BC education provides, to negotiating contracts and ensuring our team had the resources to excel – I wore many hats. (And yes, occasionally that even meant wrangling luggage and ensuring Coach K had her iced tea!)
Coach Kvilhaug encouraged me to think outside the box and find innovative ways to elevate the program. With the landscape of college sports evolving rapidly, we were determined to find new avenues for growth and solidify Boston College as a premier destination for talented softball players.
Now, as an advisor to Coach Kvilhaug, I continue to seek out opportunities to enhance the program. This fall, we're thrilled to announce the launch of The Circle, a groundbreaking giving program designed to foster a lasting community of support around Boston College Softball. The Circle welcomes alumni spanning 43 years of program history, parents, and fans of New England's only Power 5 softball program.
“Cody is innovative and thorough. He has a mind and work ethic made for growth. Cody thinks outside the box as well as anyone I’ve ever met though what sets him apart is the knowledge and persistence to see things through to fruition. As an advisor, he has helped me look at challenges through many different lenses. He is solution oriented, trustworthy, and reliable. Cody is a sincere visionary who has made an impact on me as a leader of the Boston College softball program, our student-athletes, and throughout the athletics department on the whole.”
